Day 21

The Squad are busy packing to take the early morning train from
Ollantaytambo to Cusco. At Cusco hopefully they will have a few hours
spare to wander around this now familiar town and pick up any last
presents before boarding the 4pm overnight bus back to Lima which
should take appro 22hrs. Wifi will be limited but once back at Lima
will update blog. Xx

The Squad are all up early keen to take train to Aguas Calientes for
the highlight of our trip tomorrow to Machu Picchu.The Squad all agree

Day 17

Just completed four gruelling days of Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. It
has been a long four days ( had two days beforehand to acclimatise)
Climbed 4600M in total. Spent day relaxing at hot springs at the
bottom of volcano Lares. Later today we travelled to Ollantaytambo
unexpected change to itinerary due to transport strike tomorrow. The
squad have enjoyed first meal cooked for them in six days and are now
tucked up in a hotel bedroom having a well deserved sleep. Goodnight
for now xx

Squad had great time last night. Some of the squad took a late evening
stroll up to monument over looking Cusco. Fantastic views over city.
Today we leave for trek eventually ending up in Lares in six days
time. Limited wifi folks! Xx

Yes you've guessed! Back to reality in Cusco. Squad all happy again.
Squad start Duke of Edinburgh Gold trek tomorrow. First 2 days will be
preparation and acclimatisation. Weather been perfect for expedition
so far. Wifi will be limited but will be in touch as usual first
opportunity. Xx

Day 11

Squad have just returned from project. Had a really educating five
days. Helped community to make "bedding" to plant seeds to keep
community self sufficient. Villagers all very welcoming especially the
children. Just off to sort accommodation will blog later.

The squad are busy washing clothes and preparing themselves for
tomorrow's departure to the Sacred valley. We will be spending 5 days
carrying out a project in Patacancha. We will be returning to Cusco on
the fifth day. Wifi will be limited, but will be in touch at first
